  1. SCIENCE FAIR for Windows, Version 4.0    
  2.     
  3. Purpose:  SCIENCE FAIR presents ten real-world applications 
  4. of physics and math - great ideas for science fairs!  For 
  5. kids aged 9 to 16.
  6.  
  7. Levers teaches you about the three different lever types and 
  8. forces required to balance them.  Study basic oscillations 
  9. with Pendulum -- see effects of changing lengths, weight, 
  10. and friction.  Plots of motion are given.  Water Wheel 
  11. demonstrates the exciting world of chaotic dynamics.  
  12. Examine wheel motion as different water flow rates are used.  
  13. Moon Lander gives practice in understanding concepts of speed 
  14. and acceleration as you try to land on the moon.  Weather 
  15. Watch  provides tools that allow you to identify and predict 
  16. trends in the weather.
  17.  
  18. Circuits allows you to build electric circuits from batteries, 
  19. switches, and light bulbs.  See effects of different circuit 
  20. types, burned out bulbs, etc. Robotics allows you to study 
  21. the world of robots using a 2-dimensional, two-link robotic 
  22. arm.  Trajectories is a simulation of a flying object.  The 
  23. program introduces estimation and answer refinement skills. 
  24. Rocketry is a demonstration of model rocket launches - vary 
  25. thrust, burn time, and rocket mass.  Probability introduces 
  26. an exciting field of mathematics with problems in coin 
  27. flipping, dice rolling, and dropping toothpicks!

  31. Windows 3.1/95 
  32. Visual Basic 4.0, 16 Bit Run-Time Files (most likely already 
  33. on your machine)

  35. Installation:   
  36.  
  37. To install, run the SETUP.EXE program.  If SETUP does not  
  38. operate properly, you need to install the Visual Basic 4.0  
  39. 16 Bit Run-Time files.  Follow these instructions: 
  40.  
  41. 1.  Go to our web page at URL

  43. 2.  Click on the ZDNet link there. 
  44. 3.  You will be taken to a page with: 
  45.     Visual Basic 4.0 16 bit Runtime Drivers v4.0 
  46. 4.  Download this file.  VBR416.ZIP is written to your machine. 
  47. 5.  Unzip file.  VBR416.EXE is expanded. 
  48. 6.  Run VBR416.EXE - new files will be written to your machine. 
  49.  
  50. After this, try the SETUP program again.  If you need any help, 
  51. just contact us - we can send you a disk with VBR416.EXE. 
  52.  
  53. Uninstall:  To uninstall the SCIENCE FAIR programs, simply 
  54. delete the directory (folder) they are installed in. 
  55.
